Historical Stuttgart Germany And Its Friendly People
In Stuttgart Germany you will find friendly people, successful companies as well as "the center" of the old South German Culture.
Stuttgart has 563,000 inhabitants. It is beautifully located in a valley with steeply rising slopes, and unique for its topography and pleasant climate. Surrounded by gentle hills, forests and parks, gardens and wineyards which extend to downtown, almost 20% of its area is under a land preservation order.
The public parks and recreational areas cover an area of 5.6 square kilometres. The Swabian city has therefore the reputation to be one of the most beautifully situated cities in Europe.
In the center of Southern Germany, this city is as well an ideal base for excursions to major tourist attractions. The Black Forest, the Swabian Albs, the Lake Constance, as well as European countries such as Switzerland, Austria and France are within an easy driving distance (2-3 hours).
You will be impressed by a fascinating landscape consisting of mountains, woods, vineyards, gardens, meadows and fields. Woods account for almost a quarter of the entire city area. The state capital of Baden-Württemberg is a cultural attraction that extends beyond regional borders.
The State Art Gallery, Bach Academy, Opera House and Ballet Company as well as the musical hall with the world hit "Phantom of the Opera," the Theatre House and Friedrichsbau Varieté are symbols of the cultural diversity of this city. It's worth making a trip because there is always something to see and to do.
As soon as you arrive, buy the StuttCard! It is a 3-day-ticket which you can use for free travel on public transportation to discover Stuttgart easily and comfortably. It contains vouchers for culinary delicacies such as Swabian wine bars, traditional cafés and local breweries. Or profit from free entrance in museums and castles. Cost: 11.50 or 17 EUR.

The largest and most imposing building of the outgoing 19th Century in Stuttgart is in the center of the city, just a few "feet-minutes" away from Königstraße.
In the monument-protected building, which has been extensive restaurated, are 5,500 square meters of exhibition surface and nine congress and conference areas. The state Baden-Württemberg bundled its promotion of economy development here.
The office for national trade, the Steinbeis donation for promotion of economy development, the European Union connecting office for research and technology, and the society for international and economic co-operation (GWZ) support the economy of the state by advisory and financial assistance.
